LIMESTONE from JAMAICA
Limestone supplied from the country of Jamaica in various available forms is considered among the best in the world; based on hardness and chemical analysis of up to 99-percent of Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3).
The commodity is readily available from surface mining and the government of Jamaica since the 1960’s through dedicated ministries and other public and private sector regulatory agencies, fully supports the extraction processing and exportation of this valuable limestone resource which covers some 70-percent of the country. The commodity satisfies the required ASTM standards; and is exported to demanding markets in central and south America as well as other Caribbean / CARICOM countries.
This guaranteed high quality limestone is used locally as well as in importing countries in – The construction of roads and needed hard surfaces,
- Construction of houses and high rise buildings,
- Chemical manufacturing such as paints and surface finishings, – Offshore drilling muds and in oil reservoirs,

Modifier of Bitumen
- It is a Natural Asphalt
- It is black and gives a matte grey colour to Hot Mix Asphalt when processed.
- It comprises bitumen and naturally occurring mineral components.
- It acts as an IDEAL MODIFIER to refinery bitumen, enhancing the performance characteristics of bitumen- based Hot Mix Asphalts (HMAs).
